"CHANGE IN INEVITABLE. MISERY IS OPTIONAL"
A.H. ROEVER II
As the daughter of Dave & Brenda Roever, I grew up traveling with my family from the time I was 2 weeks old. My early years were filled with new people and new places as my father shared his life story from tragedy to triumph across the nation and the world. He survived a devastating injury in Viet Nam, was in the hospital for eighteen months at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas as he recovered, and has had over 63 surgeries overall. It is undeniable that my father is an advocate for resiliency and hope! He and my mom stood beside each other the entire journey of his injury, recover, and ministry! They built a life committed to loving each other and loving others who have walked the hard road of recovery. However, our family has learned that pain of losing a loved one cuts deeper than any hurt or pain previously experienced. We lost my Mom to Covid in 2021 and it brought grief, sadness, and change into our lives once again. I remember the wise words of my grandfather, Al Roever II, "Change is inevitable; misery is optional". It has been a tough journey as we walk through this time as a family, but we have leaned hard into love, grace, and hope!

I have been married to my wonderful husband of 30 years, Phil Chapin, who is an amazing father and Captain with Pueblo City Fire Department. We love living in Colorado and are following in the footsteps of my parents as we reach out to First Responders and First Responder Couples across the nation at Eagles Summit Ranch located in Westcliffe, Colorado! It is a joy to travel with my Dad and have the opportunity to share in ministry! My new album "RESCUE" is dedicated to my amazing mother, Brenda Roever, and First Responders and their families! I hope you find encouragement as you listen. You'll hear the familiar voice of my dad, Dave, as he sings "Heaven's Sounding Sweeter" with me!
